The Nitty-Gritty
Here’s the heart of it: a 300mm quartz tube, sized to slip into compact heating zones. It runs on 400V, pulls 2500W, and throws down serious heat flux exactly where you want it. Shortwave infrared means the temperature shoots up quickly, so your cycle times stay tight. And even though it’s packing 2500W at 400V, the current draw stays manageable for standard industrial power drops. Plenty of muscle to melt or soften polymers on demand.
What It’s Made Of
Inside, the halogen element is sealed in that tough quartz envelope. It handles sudden temperature swings without blinking and keeps output steady. A reflective coating on the tube pushes the energy forward, so less heat goes to waste on the backside. That also keeps nearby components safer. And the R7s connector? It’s a proven workhorse. Easy to install, holds tight even with vibration, and takes repeated heating and cooling in stride. This thing is built to show up and show out on the factory floor, day after day.
Where It Shines (And What to Keep in Mind)
In PET blowing, it’s a straight drop-in that heats preforms with minimal warm-up. The energy savings come from the focused spectrum and that reflective coating—heat goes where the work is. Now, here’s the part to plan for: that 2500W density needs proper cooling and clearance. If airflow is too small, the tube runs hotter and its life takes a hit. Set up your heat sinking the right way, and you get fast, stable heat with far fewer interruptions.
